Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly. Hull the tops.

  2. Slice evenly into 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick slices. A mandoline slicer can help keep the slices uniform for even drying.

  3. Arrange in a single layer on dehydrator trays, making sure they don’t overlap.

If your trays have large gaps, you can place a dehydrator sheet underneath to prevent smaller slices from falling through.
  4. Set your dehydrator to 135°F. Dry for 6 to 10 hours, until slices are leathery or crisp and no moisture remains.

The drying time will vary depending on the thickness of the slices and the humidity in your environment.
  5. Cool completely, then store in an airtight container, glass jar, or vacuum sealed bag.

Note

Storage: Keep in airtight jars in a cool, dry place for up to 12 months.
🍓 Uses: Snacking, granola, trail mix, oatmeal, yogurt, baking, smoothies, or powdered as a natural flavoring.
